Soft-Depends on k-space/kube#47 (in case of Frigate, https://docs.frigate.video/frigate/hardware/)

  • Plan new spots (includes
  • Order hardware (hopefully with h265 support?)
    • Backend (Coral + CPU + GPU + storage + netw primitive support)
    • Order new cameras: 5 normal + 1 server room fisheye / ultrawide (series B, solving previous recurring pain points)
  • Wiring to
    • Workshop near lockers (2x)
    • Middle of chaos (2x)
    • Coworking near the existing camera (1x)
  • Installation
    • Workshop
      image
      • Adjust existing camera to show top of CNC as well, mainly focusing on all CNC machines.
      • Add 2 cameras in purple. Take care not to point the light-purple towards the corridor, if possible (to avoid passing-by foot traffic triggering motion events).
    • Chaos / Electronics
      image
      • The existing (in orange) will likely be removed.
      • Add 2 cameras in purple. Take care to make sure the light-purple one has a good view of the electronics wall AND ensure laptop/screen privacy. The dark-purple should focus on storage. The table and even keyboards may be in frame (low FPS), just keep in mind that most screens are on the right/left sides of the tables (facing towards the walls).
      • With the fume collection setup, soldering may move to the opposite side of the wall. As such, the installation of new cameras should be held off. (#84)
    • Coworking

      • Add 1 camera in purple. Objects of focus: A/V setup, 3D-printers, storage cabinets (corner tables), and potentially under the tables.
    • Server room
      • Fisheye of the server fronts, as high as possible.
        Consult before other/additional installation.

The page has 2 cameras (Dahua in 2 variants, without PoE as well), why the 2.5x cost?
