With the confidential afterparty, bunch and bunch shared away, we are out of stickers (also #170)

Observation: if there are two designs, people tend to take both, not one.

Observation: Sticker tends to act as a business card. People actually take note later. Might be wise to include in small text wtf k-s is + chaostreffs.

Not sure who has designs and ordered them last time. Lauri, Artur or Arti?

Current priority is not to redesign, but to have stickers.

Maybe shirts as well, Artur ordered them last time, should be on info@k-space.ee

In 2024-06 or 07 ordered both stickers and tees. Also designed them. Designs are in wiki. After receiving the printed stickers realised that a more descriptive text would've been useful.

I'm happy to see that you've taken up managing K-space seriously, @rasmus!

What I see that is missing is a style guide (what is k-space, what it means, how to format media etc) what would help tremendously in marketing and design decisions. I've tried creating one but it's been really difficult pushing it alone. Perhaps I can take it up during hackathon and maybe even invite students from Estonian Arts Academy graphic design department to help out.

Random slogans:

  • WTF is K-space?

  • Are you in my trust boundary?

  • I went to local hackerspace and all I got was this nice T-shirt

(related #67 (comment)): do take care in accounting for insecurities whom haven't been to K-SPACE, only once, ft. perhaps experienced red flags (can't be denied, I count 2-6 with the last bigger event in May).

The style is similar to Zone / Clarified, but they don't have to manage in-person encounters, really.

Thanks for dropping in. I'd like to have stickers for the Hackathon — reprinting (a-la 100-200 pcs) old designs is acceptable.

As far as the ordering goes, I got quotes from 110€ to avg 65€ to minimal 45€ for 100pcs of the horizontal, in 93 x 15 mm sizing (laminated / vinyl, assuming it isn't just plain paper which you can get a 200 pack of a4 for 23€).

It might actually be reasonable to get a 'cutting machine' (CriCut, PixCut, ScanNCut, https://www.aliexpress.com/w/wholesale-vinyl-cutting-machine.html) for about the same price as 300-400 stickers ordered. It's extra hardware to be made available to members. Yet, again, this would delay getting the stickers, can this be done before Hackathon?
