Basic instructions on the printer:

  • Get most recent and up to date instruction from one of our instructors!
  • If something doesn't work as expected or you have questions turn to one of our instructors.
  • Do not try to fix the printer or perform maintenance by yourself.
  • Use filament with diameter of 123mm
  • Use only PLA. Do not use other materials! Some filament materials react and corrode the extruder!
  • Remove the magnetic base and clean it with alcohol. Do no not use sharp objects that may scratch the base
  • Coat it with suitable glue layer, PLA tends to peel off when printed directly to the base
  • Monitor the print until first 2-3 layers have been printed to make sure it sticks and doesn't peel off
  • Remove the object with the base and gently bend the base until object is peeled off.
